The Bensham Fab Four – The Story of The Tru Tones

an image is not available
Sixty four years ago, four lads from the North of England came together and began to make music which would change the world forever. They were called The Beatles. Meanwhile, at exactly the same time, in Bensham, Gateshead, four completely different lads came together and began to make music as The Tru Tones. Their story is told in a new book, “Upstairs on Fourth Street”, by local author Chris Tait, who will explain how he began writing in the first place and how he came to write the story of “The Bensham Fab Four”. The Tru Tones themselves will also be on hand to answer questions and share their memories of half a century “doing the clubs”.
