Gateshead Silent Film Festival 2019 - Family Funny Bones Hour

St Mary's Heritage Centre with Side by Side Arts are proud to present two days of classic silent movies including a family teatime special - Family Films Funny Bones Hour: showing, Charlie Chaplin - The Bank: Charlie Chaplin plays a janitor to a bank. Edna Purviance plays the secretary on whom Charlie has a crush and dreams that she has fallen in love with him Harold Lloyd - Haunted Spooks: After numerous failed attempts to commit suicide, our hero (Lloyd) runs into a lawyer who is looking for a stooge to stand in as a groom in order to secure an inheritance for his client (Davis). The inheritance is a house, which her scheming uncle "haunts" so that he can scare them off and claim the property. Buster Keaton - One Week: Accompanied by live piano music. Buster Keaton and Sybil Seeley star as newlyweds who receive a portable house as a wedding gift. But when he tries to construct it, things quickly go awry. Ideal for families and suitable for all ages! Doors open 4.30, screening 5pm Scream for Pizza serving food from 6pm to enjoy after the films!
