The Frog & the Princess: Annual Winter Festival Performance 2018

an image is not available
This year’s family Winter Festival Show will delight audiences with a story told through exquisite rod puppetry. Come and be drawn into their small world and watch absorbed as expertly built rod puppets, designed by Jan Zalud under the mastery of the puppeteers captivate you with innovative story telling. The show’s inventive design combines character acting and movement with music devised by sound designer Jonathon Lambert. Directed by Rene Baker in collaboration with the famous Norwich Puppet Theatre, The Frog and The Princess is a poignant retelling of The Brothers Grimm fairy tale The Frog Prince. This much-loved story helps us to understand what happens when a Princess deems a Frog unworthy of being her friend, just because of what he is. Together they go on an amazing journey from rejection to friendship and discover that deep down they are not so very different after all. In all the rush and excitement of the season, this show is a great way to add to the imagination and joy of the season and briefly enter the world of the master puppeteer.
