A Cut-Price Christmas Carol

an image is not available
We are pleased to welcome back members of the Progressive Players and the writing group, The Scribblers, to St Mary’s with another Christmas themed radio play. This time it’s a Dickens’ story given a Geordie twist. There’s Jinky Scrooge, the property magnate, his partner Shakey Marley, some ghosts, Cushy Butterfield, Hurke and Bair (a pair of grave robbers), ‘Tiny’ Tim, a local singer/songwriter, and Mr Bloomer, the local baker, to name but a few. Look out for the singing Hinnies dropping in throughout and Bobby Thompson narrating the tale – It’s A Cut-price Christmas Carol (working title, The Revenge of the Stottie!). Enjoy a mince pie in the interval. £5
