Silent Movie Magic: Horror Night

an image is not available
Silent filmmakers were the pioneers of the cinematic arts. Although the majority of the silent films ever made are lost and gone forever, those that remain are gems from a bygone era. We fondly remember, the melodramatic acting and bold make-up, the sepia toning. It was an era of exploration in film and the actors and directors brought comedy, action and horror to life for audiences from all walks of life. Friday 20, Doors Open 7.30pm, the festival begins with a 'frightfully' unique night of silent horror. Discover for yourself one of the first horror movies that set the way for modern day horrors, the original screen adaption of the tale of Count Dracula in the film Nosferatu. Live piano accompaniment will add to the ambiance, bringing this all-time classic silent film truly to life.
