Caedmon released their eponymous
album in 1978 and grew an internet cult
following amongst ACID FOLK followers
in the 1990’s. Vinyl copies of the album
sell for $1000, and it is re-released on
CD by Kissing Spell. The band is featured,
alongside Vashni Bunyan and others, in
recent folk rock histories: ‘The Seasons they
Change’ and ‘Electric Eden’.
Three decades on Newcastle musician
Ken Patterson, a founder member of the
band, assembles the original band for a
rare performance. Fittingly the venue is
Caedmon Hall, Gateshead.
They will play Youtube ’70s favourites ‘Sea
Song’ and ‘Aslan’ alongside new material
from their new album ‘A Chicken to Hug’.
