Portfolios

There are 10 portfolios. These are:

• Corporate Vitality and Sustainable Communities
• Sustainable Communities: Central
• Sustainable Communities: East
• Sustainable Communities: Inner West
• Sustainable Communities: South
• Sustainable Communities: West
• Adult Social Care and Health
• Children and Young People
• Economy, Housing and Transport
• Safer, Stronger Communities and Culture

All portfolio holders continue to have supporters for their portfolio areas. In addition, in some areas — mainly in the portfolio area held by the Leader of the Council — 'Champions' have been identified.

The role of Champions varies from issue to issue and is usually to take a special interest in a particular issue, network with other Champions across the country, promote the issue in the organisation and generally support and complement the work of the portfolio holder.
